SAFE SPACE
Music is Art is dedicated to providing an environment at all of our events and programs: we want to create safe spaces where people regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, nationality, or immigration status are accepted, and respected.
We do not condone, nor will we tolerate, harassing behavior at our events and in our online spaces. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Parties asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Participating venues are expected to comply with this policy.
We value the attendance/involvement of every individual at Music is Art and want everyone to feel safe. If you are being harassed, or notice someone participating in harassing behavior, please use the form provided at the link below to make Music is Art aware of what is happening.
If we receive a credible report that someone has engaged in behavior that violates this policy, the organizers will action which is appropriate for the situation. If a resolution to the problem cannot be reached between all parties, actions will be taken to remove the party in question from any and all involvement with Music is Art. In more serious cases organizers must help facilitate the appropriate course of action.
