It's Battle Time Again!
We're now taking submissions for the 2012 Battle of the Bands! Bands will compete... Enter Here!
A lack of quality music instruments for instruction and practice is a constant issue in our schools.
To help address that need, Music is Art conducts regular drives for new and used instruments.
We’ve collected hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of instruments from manufacturers and the WNY community, had them repaired, and donated them to local schools.
If you would like to get involved with the instrument drive or donate an instrument, please contact us.
Niagara University Hosts Niagara County Instrument Drive
Now through November 18, 2011 in locations throughout
Niagara County, we'll be collecting gently used and new
musical instruments that will be cleaned, refurbished, and
placed in Niagara County schools.
On Niagara University's campus, a donation bin for gently
used and new instruments is located in the Gallagher
Student Center, just outside of the broadcasting booth
for WNIA, NU's student radio station.
Off campus, musical instrument donations are also accepted at the following locations:
- Lewiston, NY at Lewiston Music at the corner of 4th St. and Center St.;
(716) 754-0120;
- Niagara Falls, NY at Generations Music at 2437 Military Road; (716) 298-5200;
- Williamsville, NY at Generations Music’s location at 4545 Transit Rd (Eastern Hills Mall),
14221.
All donations are tax deductible.
Since the inception of the Instrument Drive program, MiA has collected and placed over $200,000 in refurbished instruments into the schools. By teaming up with NU, MiA looks forward to adding significantly to that number.
