Festival Fast Fact:

A record number of local bands and DJs applied online for consideration.  While some favorites returned, 60% of the bands chosen for this year did not play the festival last year, and 30% had never played it before.  Virtually every genre of music was represented this year.
Music is Art Festival
We held our first Music is Art Festival in 2003 and did it right down the street from the Allentown Art Festival, to make sure that music was recognized as an important part of the local arts scene.

Now, the Music is Art Festival is Buffalo’s most extensive exhibition of local music, dance and art.

Every year the Festival features live music performances of many genres on multiple stages, plus:

     • Visual artists displaying their work

     • A stage dedicated to dance troupes

     • A Kids Village featuring live music and hands on art creation

     • Live art created right in the middle of the action

     • Other not for profits educating our audience on their important work

     • A photography exhibit

     • Local DJs spinning an interactive dance experience

     • A performance by the winner of our student Battle of the Bands

Come join the thousands who make the MiA Festival the premier local music and art event in Western New York!
