Since its founding in 2004, MiA has helped connect thousands of people to their musical voice through our many programs and events.

Our Music in Action industry training course and Instrument Drive give students a chance to explore music in new ways.
Our Awareness Tours help them learn the importance of engaging in positive mental health behaviors, such as fostering a creative outlet.
Battle of the Bands, the annual Festival and MiA LIVE all provide a platform for students and the community to engage with the local arts and culture scene.
MiA has also been able to bring students and the community at large into contact with many professional, touring musicians through the Big Easy in Buffalo.
